Dana is a dual-qualified lawyer admitted to practice in Alberta and Saskatchewan, working in the firm’s intellectual property and technology practice group. She combines practical Canadian legal experience with advanced U.S. legal education, bringing clients a distinctive perspective on intellectual property, emerging technologies, artificial intelligence, and corporate law.
She began her legal career at an international law firm in Calgary, Alberta, where she maintained a practice in the intellectual property and capital markets groups. Her intellectual property experience includes drafting and prosecuting trademark applications, conducting due diligence searches, and providing strategic advice on complex IP matters, including domain name disputes, trademark oppositions, and copyright matters. In her corporate and commercial practice, Dana gained experience in domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, and securities transactions, encompassing both public and private M&A deals as well as equity and debt offerings. Dana has also assisted clients with continuous disclosure requirements, corporate governance matters, agreement drafting, and general corporate legal services.
Prior to joining the firm in 2025, Dana earned her Master of Laws in Technology Law and Policy from Georgetown University, where she was a Merit Scholar and awarded the Moxon Scholarship for Graduate Studies for academic excellence. Dana also holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Juris Doctor from the University of Saskatchewan, where she competed on the women’s varsity softball team.

- A pipeline company on its $7.15 billion refinancing through Canada’s largest corporate bond offering of First Lien Senior Secured Notes.
- A telecommunications company on its $1.8 billion three-tranche senior unsecured note offering, including sustainability-linked notes tied to greenhouse gas emission reduction targets.
