Jacey Safnuk is a senior associate in Procido LLP’s Saskatoon office. She practices in the areas of estate administration, estate planning, civil litigation, debt enforcement, and municipal law. Jacey provides strategic guidance to clients in drafting wills, trusts, and powers of attorney, helping families and individuals create comprehensive estate plans to preserve and transfer wealth efficiently. She also assists executors and beneficiaries with estate administration, guiding them through complex probate processes and resolving disputes when they arise. In addition to estates, Jacey maintains a broad litigation practice, and has experience in the fields of civil litigation, insolvency, and municipal law.

Prior to joining Procido LLP, Jacey was an associate at a national law firm. She has prepared materials for all levels of court in Saskatchewan and appeared as counsel before the King’s Bench for Saskatchewan, the Saskatchewan Court of Appeal, and various tribunals.

Jacey graduated with distinction from the University of Saskatchewan’s College of Law and obtained her Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Finance, with Great Distinction from the University of Saskatchewan in 2014. Before obtaining her law degree, Jacey worked as a financial analyst in the healthcare industry.

  • Advising individuals and families on creating tailored wills, trusts, and powers of attorney to ensure efficient estate planning.
  • Guiding executors and beneficiaries through probate and estate administration, including resolving disputes and navigating court proceedings.
  • Counsel to numerous cities, towns, municipalities, and rural municipalities, providing general legal and advisory services as well as bylaw enforcement, including drafting and enforcing bylaws and general litigation services.
  • Counsel to Saskatchewan Assessment Management Agency and numerous cities, towns, and municipalities, assisting on numerous assessment appeals to the Board of Revision, Municipal Board, and Court of Appeal.
  • Appeared before Development Appeals Boards, King’s Bench, and Court of Appeal to successfully advance client matters.
  • Settled litigation matters favourably for clients in various civil and commercial areas.
  • Counsel for numerous Canadian banks in foreclosure and insolvency matters.
  • Counsel for finance and leasing companies in enforcement and collection matters.
  • Counsel on numerous debtor-creditor disputes.
  • Counsel for corporations and individuals on product liability claims.
