On February 16, 2023, Emmanuel College of Victoria University, at the University of Toronto hosted its fourth session in a series of panels featuring Indigenous-Muslim perspectives on common issues of importance to the contemporary world. In this two-hour conversation, panelists will discuss how Elders pass on teachings about peace and what key concepts are involved.

The panel is moderated by Dr. Katherine Bullock, and features Mohammed Abu-Nimer (School of International Service at the American University, Washington, DC.); Fatima Ahmed (Lakehead University); and Bonnie Jane Maracle (Wolf Clan, Mohawk Nation at Tyendinaga Territory, Traditional Teacher in Residence at UofT First Nations House).

Procido LLP is proud to share this link for two reasons. First, the topic is one of importance and aligns with the Firm’s core values of diversity, equality,  mutual respect, and others. Second, our soon-to-be summer student, Fatima Ahmed, is one of the esteemed panel members. You can listen to Fatima’s presentation around the 38-minute mark, but we encourage you to watch and enjoy the entire session.
