Fatima is currently completing the following degrees: J.D (law) degree at the University of Saskatchewan, M.Ed. (education) degree with a dual specialization in Indigenous Education and Social Justice Education; and an Associate degree in computer science. Aside from the degrees she is currently completing, Fatima has also completed a B.A. in Peace and Conflict Studies (including an academic term in Sweden); a Bachelor of Education; a Masters in Disaster Risk Management and Climate Change; and a M.Sc. in Educational Leadership and Innovative Technologies.
Throughout Fatima’s career, she has worked in many roles including as the Executive Director for the Inuvik Youth Centre, in Inuvik, NWT; an Organizational Development Advisor at the Botswana Network of AIDS Service Organizations, in Ghanzi, Botswana; a Women’s Development Officer and an IT Training Officer for the Shefa Provincial Council, in Vanuatu, South Pacific; and a Project Leader at Peace It Together, in Vancouver, BC. Prior to starting law school, Fatima worked as a teacher at the Sautjuit School in Kangirsuk, QC.
