Build a broader practice. Help shape a different kind of law firm.

You have built a general practice. Now grow it with a team behind you. Procido LLP is seeking a five-year-call lawyer with an established general practice who wants to maintain responsibility for client relationships, collaborate on substantial matters, and spend more time practicing law – and less time administering a practice or managing a business.

Why is this opportunity right for you?

  • Meaningful ownership of client relationships and files, rather than a narrow support role;
  • Varied local general practice matters alongside opportunities to collaborate on larger corporate transactions, complex litigation, and major projects;
  • A growing network of Saskatchewan offices, creating reciprocal referrals and new business opportunities;
  • A practical, client-focused culture that values responsiveness, sound judgment, teamwork, and efficient delivery;
  • Negotiated base salary, collected-fee and client-development incentives, and opportunities for senior responsibility and practice leadership;
  • The opportunity to influence systems, service offerings, and the growth of the practice.

What is the practice?

We are looking for a skilled and experienced generalist. Your practice should include several of the areas below. You are not expected to practice in all of them; we will discuss how your strengths fit the office’s clients and the wider group.

  • Residential and commercial real estate, financing and conveyancing;
  • Wills, powers of attorney, estate administration, probate and succession planning;
  • Civil litigation and dispute resolution;
  • Family law, including separation, parenting, support, and property matters;
  • Corporate and commercial law, including business transactions;
  • Employment law, workplace advice and employment disputes.

Who will thrive at Procido LLP?

  • A lawyer with at least 5 years of post-call experience, but exceptional candidates with 8+ years of generalist experience are also encouraged to apply.

You must bring an established private practice that you have built and maintained. You know how to manage files, serve clients, and develop business in a law firm. You now want to grow that practice with better support, effective delegation, and less administrative work. Firm clients and referrals will supplement and broaden the practice you bring.

  • Strong drafting, file management, negotiation, client communication, and professional judgment;
  • Comfort handling matters independently while knowing when to collaborate or refer a specialist issue within the Procido Group of law firms;
  • A service-oriented approach, commercial awareness, and the drive to build lasting client relationships;
  • A commitment to the Procido Standard of Excellence, which includes, among other things, responsible file economics: effective delegation, timely billing, collections follow-through, and excellent client outcomes.

What does success for you look like?

You will combine technical competence with sound commercial judgment: build trusted relationships, originate and retain work, delegate effectively, manage matters to budget, bill promptly, and help convert excellent service into a sustainable, profitable practice.

What is the compensation?

Annual base salary is negotiable, and will depend on factors including: experience, areas of practice, and the practice you bring. The Firm also has performance incentives under the Associate Compensation Guidelines including:
• graduated bonuses of 20%–45% on credited collected legal fees over and above defined thresholds;
• origination incentives for qualifying work delegated to colleagues;
• performance-based salary reviews; and
• discretionary recognition for exceptional contribution.
Eligibility and payment are governed by the Associate Compensation Guidelines which can be disclosed and discussed with the right candidate.

What is the career progression at Procido LLP?

There is room to progress to Senior Associate and establish and lead the Generalist Practice Group and be involved with or lead other practice groups. For the right candidate, admission as a partner in Procido LLP may be considered through the firm’s traditional partnership process. Partnership is not promised.
